Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Biometric Access Control in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $26.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Maintain accurate access-related records, visitor logs, and incident documentation while protecting confidential information.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access or other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
