Quality Technician

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We make an extraordinary product that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to unmatched quality standards. As our Quality Technician, you’ll be our gatekeeper focused on Quality Control.  You’ll ensure all products meet the defined requirements by:

• Completing electronics testing and processing customer returned Seakeeper gyros and Seakeeper Ride parts
• Reviewing drawing specifications for rejected production parts
• Analyzing problems, requesting corrective actions with the vendor, and reporting results effectively
• Verifying machined parts and electronics meet Seakeeper specifications using testing inspection equipment and basic hand tools
• Identifying and documenting non-conforming products in laboratory setting
• Reviewing, investigating, and processing non-conforming parts from production and field returns
• Packaging & shipping returned parts to the vendor
• Completing In-process production inspections using measuring equipment
• Participating in quality control containment and sort activities with defective product

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST-HAVES

• High school diploma or GED, required 
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work well in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment in a quality inspection role including the following:

• • • Experience working with inspection equipment and tools
    • Ability to perform precision manual measurements
    • Ability to competently read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-centric attitude at all times
• Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Superior time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: 
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  • Use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  • Visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  • Distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Post-secondary education or related training and certifications
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Previous experience using Oracle NetSuite

MORE DETAILS YOU'LL WANT TO KNOW

• You’ll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-time
• Occasional travel (up to 10%) to facilitate identification and containment of issues at vendors, or in our warehouse
• On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)
• This is a first shift position Monday – Thursday from 6:00am – 4:30pm or Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm
• You’ll report to the Quality Control Manager 

YOUR TEAM

Our Quality Technicians are nestled within our manufacturing engineering department. It is a small, but mighty team that ties together the sourcing of high-quality parts from reputable vendors to the meticulous manufacturing of Seakeeper units. With cross-department collaboration and interaction with external partners, you’ll gain knowledge across the various areas of the Operations department, so you’ll be able to own your role and bring new ideas to the table to improve processes and results.
