Summary:
The Member Services Agent is an entry-level team member responsible for providing timely and accurate support to Young Living members through phone, email, and chat interactions. This role is focused on delivering high-quality customer service while learning and applying foundational knowledge of Young Living’s products, systems, and policies. Agent I’s are the first point of contact and play a vital role in ensuring positive member experiences.
Essential Functions
- Respond to member inquiries via phone, email, and chat with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist members with general account questions, order placement, and basic troubleshooting.
- Educate members on products, loyalty programs, and basic policies.
- Document all member interactions clearly and accurately in internal systems.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior agents or supervisors.
- Demonstrate consistent commitment to customer satisfaction and company values.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic to intermediate typing skills (minimum 35 WPM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow established protocols.
- Dependable with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a customer service or contact center environment preferred.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A combination of education and customer service experience may meet the requirement.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.
 Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
