Role Summary

Shifts Available: 

Sunday - Wednesday 6:00am - 4:30pm or Wednesday - Saturday 6:00am - 4:30pm

The equipment operator will help fulfill orders in the warehouse by utilizing warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers. This position will be in the warehouse facility, specializing in large furniture shipped across North America. This position will be on one of two shifts that cover a 7-day-per-week operation.

They should be a motivated team player with a positive attitude and good organizational and communication skills. Individuals should be able to function well in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and willing to accept new and diverse assignments. Candidate must be able to work with all organizational levels, including fellow employees, customers, and management.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate a scanner to track the location of products in the building
  • Operates warehousing equipment such as forklifts and order pickers frequently
  • Safely operate in a warehouse environment
  • Work as part of a team
  • Follow work instructions
  • Follow-up on tasks

Role Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • High school degree or GED a plus 
  • Warehousing or manufacturing experience a plus
  • Forklift or heavy machinery experience a plus
  • Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk for considerable distance throughout a shift 
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods 
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights to 50 pounds 
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements
