About the Role:
Discovery School House in Leicester, MA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children in a fun, active, and supportive environment. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for toddlers
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and positive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and daily updates
- Support toddlers with daily routines including meals, nap time, and hygiene
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones and progress
- Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Requirements:
- Previous experience in early childhood education, daycare, or toddler care preferred
- Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare licensing requirements
- Completion of the EEC essential trainingsĀ
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma required; degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
- EEC teacher certification preferred
