Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems in trucks, buses, heavy equipment, or other diesel-powered vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services on diesel vehicles and equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues

  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper repair and functionality

  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and issues

  • Order parts and assist in inventory management as needed

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

  • Communicate with service advisors or customers regarding repairs and timelines

  • Keep work area clean and organized

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or diesel mechanic certification preferred

  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel technician or similar role

  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools

  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics

  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills

  • Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required or preferred
