Shift: Friday-Tuesday- 1:30pm-10:00pm

Job Purpose: Manage entry and exit of vehicles, personnel and shipments across multiple trailer yard sites. Coordinating with operations and transportation teams to resolve issues, verifying driver appointments, and ensure efficient operations with excellent customer service. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain accurate records of all trailer arrival and departure times. 
  • Verify driver appointments, and confirmation numbers. 
  • Coordinate and maintain communication with security personnel, operation, logistics teams, and management. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless, secure warehouse operations, fostering a culture of effective communication and coordination. 
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high-level professionalism. 
  • Monitor and report incidents or suspicious activity to management. 
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and situational awareness. 
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, such as unexpected changes in traffic patterns, equipment failures or unexpected situations which may require conflict resolution and de-escalation. 
  • Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW.  

Additional Responsibilities:  

  • Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at once. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information. 
  • Report, writing, and documentation 
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager. 

Qualifications:  

  • You must be able to maintain accurate records and attention to detail in your work. 
  • Familiarity with CCTV cameras and other access control technologies. 
  • Access Control Officers frequently work non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and major holidays, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of their role. 
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, with a preference for candidates who have proficiency in using Sysnapse and McLeod software and Microsoft Office. 
  • Basic understanding of transportation and logistics systems and processes.  

Education and/or Experience Required:  

  • High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred. 

Language Skills Sets:   

  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English. 

 

Mathematical Skills:           

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.      

Reasoning Ability:  

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.  

Computer Skills:         

  • This position requires a solid understanding of business operating systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software to effectively perform daily tasks.             

Physical Demands:  

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons. 
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others. 
  • Regularly works in an indoor environment and requires to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion. 
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. 
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. 
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time. 
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision. 
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones and intercoms. 
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances. 

Work Environment:   

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
