The Village of Lemont is seeking a detail-oriented, and collaborative Finance Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this key front-line role, you’ll assist residents and staff, process payments, and support financial and administrative operations within the Finance Department.
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset who excels in a customer-facing role and values providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service at the front desk, by phone, and via email
- Process utility payments, permits, licenses, and other financial transactions
- Assist with utility billing, account updates, and invoice distribution
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, and recordkeeping
- Support other departments with permits, documentation, and finance-related inquiries
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education/training preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, finance, or administrative roles
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn financial systems
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a professional and approachable demeanor
Benefits include:
- Starting Salary: $23.00+/hour DOQ
- Schedule: 27.5 hours per week (part-time), Shift time TBD
