Summary/Objective 
This position drives a straight truck to move all materials required to and from production plant and warehouses. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure drivers are operating as efficient and safe as possible.       

Essential Functions 
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
• Moves materials from production docks to warehouse docks 
• Checks and maintains fuel and oil levels and reports any malfunctions or maintenance required to supervisor 
• Assists in loading, unloading, pallet sorting or any other jobs as instructed by supervisor 
• Requires flexible maneuverability to operate trucks, tractors, lift trucks and pallet jacks 
• Communicates with Supervisors, Material Handlers, and Forklift Operators to assure proper movement of trailers throughout the plant and warehouse 
• Complies with all procedures following an accident 
• Completes all required paperwork as assigned, including the Driver Truck Tracker Trailer Inspection Report and Food Safety Management System 
• Maintains regular, predictable attendance 
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility 
This position has no supervisory responsibility. 

Work Environment  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an environment with the following conditions 
• Exposure to hot or cold climate continuously 
• Exposure to chemical frequently 
• Exposure to noise and vibration frequently 
• Exposure to wet, humid or icy conditions frequently 
• The use of steel-toed safety shoes, long pants, hard hats in the warehouse and other personal protective equipment is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time position. Days and hours vary depending on the shift and department.  Overtime and weekend work is required at times as approved by supervisor. Provides vacation coverage as needed. 

Travel 
None is required for this position except between the plant and the Freeport warehouse. 

Required Education and Experience 
• High school diploma or GED 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills 
• Basic mechanical aptitude 
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English. 
• CDL Class A license and forklift license 
• 3-6 months driving experience 

Preferred Education and Experience 
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment 
• 1-3 years tractor trailer driving experience 
• 3-6 months forklift experience 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications 
None is required for this position.   

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 
Eligible to work in USA. 

Food Safety and Product Quality 
This position is responsible for supporting the food safety management system and for communicating food safety issues to the Quality Department.
