Summary/ObjectiveÂ
This position drives a straight truck to move all materials required to and from production plant and warehouses. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure drivers are operating as efficient and safe as possible. Â Â Â Â
Essential FunctionsÂ

• Moves materials from production docks to warehouse docksÂ
• Checks and maintains fuel and oil levels and reports any malfunctions or maintenance required to supervisorÂ
• Assists in loading, unloading, pallet sorting or any other jobs as instructed by supervisorÂ
• Requires flexible maneuverability to operate trucks, tractors, lift trucks and pallet jacksÂ
• Communicates with Supervisors, Material Handlers, and Forklift Operators to assure proper movement of trailers throughout the plant and warehouseÂ
• Complies with all procedures following an accidentÂ
• Completes all required paperwork as assigned, including the Driver Truck Tracker Trailer Inspection Report and Food Safety Management SystemÂ
• Maintains regular, predictable attendanceÂ

None is required for this position except between the plant and the Freeport warehouse.Â
Required Education and ExperienceÂ
• High school diploma or GEDÂ
• Effective written and verbal communication skillsÂ
• Basic mechanical aptitudeÂ
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.Â
• CDL Class A license and forklift licenseÂ
• 3-6 months driving experienceÂ
Preferred Education and ExperienceÂ
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environmentÂ
• 1-3 years tractor trailer driving experienceÂ
• 3-6 months forklift experienceÂ
