Lenexa, KS

PROtect, LLC is growing! We're looking for motivated Level I and Level II Computed Radiography (CR) / Digital Radiography (DR) Technicians to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas.

What You'll Do

As a CR/DR Technician, you'll perform non-destructive testing on structures, pipelines, equipment, and other industrial components while ensuring compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and company procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform NDT inspections using Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR).

  • Utilize additional NDT methods as qualified, including RT, UTT, MT, and PT.

  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain NDT equipment.

  • Identify and document defects in materials and components.

  • Complete inspection reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.

  • Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures.

  • Level II Technicians may provide guidance, mentoring, and instruction to Level I technicians and assistants.

  • Perform general equipment inspections, vehicle maintenance, and housekeeping duties.

  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Must be insurable under PROtect, LLC's insurance policy

  • State Card required

  • Level I or Level II RT Certification with CR/DR

  • Additional certifications in UTT, MT, and PT are preferred for Level I candidates and required for Level II candidates.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Non-Destructive Testing

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position requires a strong work ethic and flexibility. Candidates should be comfortable working extended shifts, responding to call-outs, and traveling for projects as needed.

The role also requires the ability to:

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds

  • Occasionally lift up to 150 pounds with assistance

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights

  • Work in confined spaces and around industrial equipment

  • Meet safety harness weight requirements

  • Maintain visual acuity for detailed inspections
