Protecting People.”  We are seeking a Retrofit Application Engineer to partner with our experienced Retrofit application engineering team in this environmentally focused industry. A Retrofit Application Engineer at Smith and Loveless handles all aspects of processing jobs, inquiries, bids and technical support for Retrofit Equipment. Especially serve as technical order processing and bidding support to Retrofit sales, representatives, and customers in determining how best to retrofit existing equipment with Smith & Loveless equipment. Ability to analyze new equipment layout, pricing, specifications and bid documents. Assist in Parts technical questions and as back-up when others are out of the office. Job duties Process all aspects of the retrofit job, from order entry, Avante, OEI’s, and all of the other required paperwork to process the job with a customer friendly attitude to both internal and external personnel. Provide quick and timely order processing and quotes to sales managers, Representatives, and customers. Technical Engineering Support in determining equipment required to perform various retrofit jobs, including laying out of the new retrofit equipment into existing equipment, analyzing the costing, bid, specifications and other documents to support Internal S&L Retrofit Sales Team, Representatives and Customers. Prepare retrofit equipment submittal packages for larger projects, keeping track of required schedule milestones and approval dates. Work closely with Customer, Representative, Engineering and CM&O groups on larger treatment projects, keeping everyone informed and up to date on the project, working to resolve problems as the job is processed in Engineering and Manufacturing so that it meets required customer deadlines. Serve as back-up for other Retrofit Department personnel as required. Other assignments as determined by VP of Aftermarket Division. Keep work area neat and clean. QualificationsSkills/Requirements Bachelor of Science Degree.  Preferred field of study in Engineering or Construction Management. 3 to 5 years equivalent job experience with mechanical equipment and/or mechanical parts.  One year of order processing, project managing or similar experience interfacing between customers, engineering, and production is preferred.     Ability to calculate various hydraulic conditions. Excellent phone skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Fundamental understanding of Microsoft applications and Maximizer software Strong organization skills.
