Job Description
Enjoy your summer days outside teaching children about nature, history, and outdoor skills! Our Outdoor Discovery Camps are licensed KDHE school-age programs run by our award-winning Outdoor Education Team of full-time Park Naturalists.

This position drives the camp school bus to various locations for camp activities as well as leads children ages 6-12 in outdoor and indoor activities including games, stories, crafts, swimming, creek exploration, field trips, kayaking & canoeing, archery, bb guns, hiking, nature and wildlife lessons, etc. May perform other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to teach campers, problem solve, and exercise independent judgment.
- Comfortable with leading groups of children ages 6 -12.
- A genuine interest in working with children and helping them have a positive and memorable experience at camp.
Hourly Salary: $20.00 per hour.
Job Requirements
- Minimum age 21 years and older.
- Teaching, outdoor skills, camp, and/or environmental education experience preferred.
- Must possess valid Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement or willing to obtain (Training Available); must be able to pass DOT drug test and physical.
- Must be willing to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificate (training available).
- Background check required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass driving record check.
- Must be able to work all day outdoors, May 25 – July 31, M - F shift hours vary 7 am - 5:30 pm with approximately 40 hours per week.
- Must attend a paid camp training held May 18 - 22.
