Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Building meaningful and long-term customer relationships.Â
- Have comprehensive proficiency ranging in stone, tile and plumbing knowledge to design trends in the luxury market.
- Use “relationship selling” techniques through design consultations in residential new construction and high-end renovations to maximize selling opportunities.Â
- Take pride in the design process!Â
- In-House Lunch & Learns
- 3-5 in-house Lunch & Learns per branch per quarter: are hosted by you and focused on building relationships with associates, designers, builders, and partners.
- Individual Event Participation - must attend 2 industry related events per quarter.
- Business Development / Hunting
- Customer visits, prospecting, and active hunting for new business should be reflected on the calendar when applicable. These activities are a critical part of building long-term, repeat business.
- Maintain appearance and organization of products in showroom
- Stay current on all product knowledge to better communicate features and benefits to help build customer knowledge and confidence in our products
- Practice customer focus, collaboration, and communication with team members
- Responsible for meeting monthly sales goals
- Assist Branch Manager in designing and maintaining a world class sales team
- Mentor other members of the design sales team on sales skills and product knowledge
- Ensure the design sales team is delivering an unparalleled customer service experience

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience in tile and or countertop materials.
- Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment.
- Dedicated to being a supportive team member.
- Capable of thriving in a varied paced retail environment.
- Ability to develop long lasting relationships in the local Architecture and Design community.
- Understand and regularly execute income generating activities that deliver consistent financial results for both the company and design consultant.
- Creating, presenting, and selling product and design solutions.
- Ability and desire to mentor and coach team members
- Proven ability to help promote strong organizational culture

- Discern and coordinate colors, scale and textures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Bachelor’s degree in design or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read blueprints

- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
