SUMMARYĀ 

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager,Ā theĀ Superintendent, Building ProductsĀ willĀ be providingĀ guidance, support,Ā directionĀ and leadership through positive interactions with all personnel during the daily operations.Ā Superintendent-Production, Building ProductsĀ will alsoĀ assistĀ in supervising production, safety, scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training, and auditing activitiesĀ

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Comply withĀ CompanyĀ Safety Policies and ProceduresĀ Ā 

  • AssistingĀ the plant manager in creating a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of plant safety policies, procedures, and programsĀ 

  • Making recommendations andĀ assistingĀ the plant manager in developing the operating plan and monitoring results against the plan.Ā AssistĀ the plant manager in other matters such as, but not limited to safety management, quality assurance, officeĀ administrationĀ and risk management.Ā 

  • AssistĀ in equipment and machine acquisition and repairs, serviceĀ contractsĀ and agreementsĀ 

  • Maintain current permits and/orĀ obtainĀ new permits fromĀ appropriate governmentalĀ agencies, ensuring the facility is in regulatory complianceĀ 

  • Directing and coordinating the activities as assigned to obtain maximum efficiency of operations to meet production needsĀ 

  • Leading a team of employees with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and productionĀ 

  • Training and coaching supervisors and hourly personnelĀ 

  • Conferring with the plant manager toĀ establishĀ working schedules for all of productionĀ 

  • Adhering to budget for all departments including maintenance suppliesĀ Ā 

  • Supervising equipment/facility maintenance operations including the preventative maintenance programĀ 

  • All other duties as requested or assignedĀ

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceĀ 

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in functional roleĀ

The employee shouldĀ possessĀ the ability to:

  • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or outĀ 

  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels thatĀ maybe uncomfortableĀ 

  • Prolong standingĀ or in stationary positionĀ Ā 

  • Complete repetitive movementsĀ 

  • Bend or twistĀ Ā 

  • Work in constant noise above 85 decibelsĀ 

  • Handle,Ā controlĀ or feel objects,Ā toolsĀ or controlsĀ 

  • Lift/move/transport itemsĀ up to 30Ā poundsĀ 

  • Ascend or descend stairsĀ 

  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilitiesĀ 

  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditionsĀ 

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing,Ā visionĀ and hardhat protectionĀ 

$97,000- $100,800 per year

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
