The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of instrumentation and equipment used in providing direct patient care. This position ensures all medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use. Additionally, this role maintains inventory levels, monitors sterilization processes, and ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards. In addition, this position inspects and assembles surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are in good working condition. Additionally, this role collaborates with healthcare staff to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments and equipment. Responsibilities for this role include performing routine maintenance on sterilization equipment, documenting sterilization procedures, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Accurately assembles instrument trays.
Sterilizes instruments using appropriate methods.
Returns sterile instruments to their proper location.
Stocks patient care equipment as needed.
Maintains inventory levels of medical instruments and supplies.
