Job DetailsJob Location: Lenoir City, TN 37771Job Title: Assembly Harness Technician Department: Mains Reports To: Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Summary: This position is responsible for assembling wire harnesses and/or panels from components as well as sub-assemblies. Executes duties with a high degree of quality, with few defects, and within the labor time requirements for the products being assembled. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Understands and demonstrates safety as the first priority in all work-related activities.  Produces a variety of harnesses and power panels (kitting, pre-plugging and assembly) using assembly boards, work instructions, drawings, production schedules and execution guidelines.  Capable of building all harness designs without consideration of size, complexity or content.  Sub-assembly of switches and switch components.  Installation of wire assemblies into panel sub-assembly.  Maintains standards of a clean and organized work environment.  Testing of completed harness assembly using “on-board” test processes.  Capable of trouble shooting and diagnosing outputs of the “on-board test” and correcting identified defects.  Ability to work with minimum supervision.  Ability to identify defects from upstream suppliers which affect specific assembly or overall product quality.  Ability to accurately measure lengths and densities, utilize a ruler or tape measure.  Cleaning and packaging in accordance with published methodologies and standards.  Other duties may be assigned as required.  QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
