Job title: CNC Machinist
Reports to: CNC Foreman/Shop Foreman
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine
Essential functions:

Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
Ability to perform your own programming and running your details.
Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
Keep work area clean.
Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
Operate overhead cranes

Required competency, education, and experience:

Programming experience using Mastercam or Work NC
Experience with 3 axis machining
Experience with Mazak, Haas, and/or Mitsubishi Mills
A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
Candidate must have valid driver’s license

Preferred education and experience:

Experience with large mills
Experience with 3+2 and 5 axis machining
Two years of experience

Work environment: Manufacturing environment

Physical demands:

Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Shift and schedule will vary. Some overtime might be required.
Travel: None.
