Job DetailsJob Location: MEL TN - Lenoir City, TN 37771Job Title: Splice Technician Department: Splice Reports To: Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Summary The Splice Technician is responsible for splicing multiple wires together to produce spliced wire assemblies using mechanical and semi-automated equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Understands and demonstrates safety as the first priority in all work-related activities. Installs splices of wire assemblies using different technologies and equipment such as mechanical, solder sleeve, and ultrasonic splicing. Executes with a high degree of quality, with few defects and within the labor time requirements for the splices being executed. Capable to interpret tickets, work orders and shop orders to ensure correct outcome is achieved. Capable of identifying defective product presented to the work-cell as well as outcomes of the work-cell. Maintains standards of a clean and organized work environment. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to identify defects from upstream suppliers which affect specific assembly or overall product quality. Other duties may be assigned as required.
