About the Role:
The Plumbing Manager is responsible for overseeing all plumbing operations within the organization to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery. This role involves managing a team of plumbers and technicians, coordinating project schedules, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and safety regulations. The Plumbing Manager will work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to plan and execute plumbing projects from inception to completion. They will also be responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and continuous process improvement to optimize operational performance. Ultimately, the Plumbing Manager ensures that all plumbing systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Valid plumbing license or certification as required by the state of employment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial plumbing projects.
- Strong leadership training or certification.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of plumbers and plumbing technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate plumbing projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and federal codes, as well as company safety standards.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to guarantee workmanship meets company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve issues.
- Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and report on project progress to senior management.
- Implement and promote safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve plumbing operations.
