Job DetailsJob Location: Plant 2 Upholstery Plant - Lenoir, NC 28645Position Type: Full TimeJob Summary The Fabric Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of fabric to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements before being added into inventory. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product excellence and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform final quality inspections on received fabric before its added to inventory. Verify product dimensions and quality with accuracy against specifications and work orders. Inspect for defects such as fabric flaws or structural weaknesses. Approve, reject, or flag items for rework based on inspection results. Document inspection results accurately in quality control reports. Communicate defects and quality concerns to production supervisors and relevant departments. Ensure products are clean, properly labeled, and ready for packaging. Maintain inspection tools and ensure adherence to workplace safety standards. Assist in identifying recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions. QualificationsRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred). 2+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, upholstery, or quality control. Strong understanding of furniture construction methods and materials. Ability to read work orders. Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures. Attention to detail and strong observational skills. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting. Ability to lift and move furniture as required. Familiarity with ISO quality standards. Experience using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, levels). Strong problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under deadlines in a production environment. Work Environment Manufacturing or warehouse setting. Exposure to finishes, adhesives, and upholstery materials. Standing for extended periods and handling large pieces of furniture. Lifting up to 25 pounds
