At Canyon Ranch, our culinary team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional wellness experiences through thoughtfully prepared, high-quality cuisine. The Chef de Partie is responsible for ensuring excellence in both food preparation and presentation while maintaining Canyon Ranch’s culinary standards, recipes, and nutrition philosophy. This role supervises daily kitchen operations within an assigned station, supports the development of team members, and ensures strict compliance with food safety standards, including ServSafe procedures. The Chef de Partie reports to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chefs, and works collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.


Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as a Colleague

  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of food to ensure it meets Canyon Ranch recipes, nutritional philosophy, and quality standards.

  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in accordance with Health Department regulations and ServSafe standards.

  • Maintain an organized and efficient workstation while supporting smooth kitchen operations.

  • Prepare and arrange food according to Canyon Ranch recipes and presentation standards.

  • Set up and maintain assigned workstation as directed, including completing opening and closing procedures.

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail in all dishes produced.

  • Communicate professionally with line staff and management to ensure efficient kitchen operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.

  • Participate in and support informative and engaging pre-meal presentations.

  • Work closely with Food & Beverage chefs, managers, supervisors, and staff to share operational updates and important information.

  • Identify, report, and address safety hazards or unsafe practices in the kitchen.

  • Support the onboarding and ongoing training of new and existing culinary colleagues.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on excellence, growth, and accountability.


Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 2+ years Culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.

  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, presentation, and kitchen operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and ServSafe procedures.

  • Ability to lead by example and provide guidance to team members.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining high culinary standards and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
