What we make

OCM is an FDA-registered contract manufacturer. We make over-the-counter topical drug products, homeopathic topicals and orals, cosmetics, and dietary supplements for companies whose names you would recognize. Everything we produce is made under federal Good Manufacturing Practice rules and is subject to FDA inspection.

What you would do

You would compound and blend the products themselves — weighing raw materials, charging mix tanks, controlling temperature and mixing time, and confirming that each batch meets specification before it moves to filling. You would record what you did as you did it, because in this industry the batch record is the product.

  • Weigh and verify raw materials on calibrated scales, against the batch record
  • Calculate and confirm quantities, percentages, and yields
  • Operate mixing and heating equipment to defined parameters
  • Take in-process checks: appearance, pH, viscosity, temperature
  • Clean and change over equipment between batches
  • Document every step legibly and in real time
  • Work alongside packaging and quality staff to keep batches moving

What matters most here

Attention to detail is not optional. A decimal in the wrong place is a destroyed batch, and in our industry it can be a recall. Every candidate we hire will be evaluated on this above everything else.

Reliability. Batches run on a schedule and a partially blended batch cannot wait for tomorrow. We need someone who is here, on time, every scheduled day.

Engagement. The best blenders notice things — a batch that looks slightly off, a mixer that sounds different than it did last week. We would rather you stop and ask than proceed and hope.

Teamwork. Blending hands off to filling, filling hands off to packaging. Everyone downstream depends on your batch being right and on time, and you will depend on them the same way.

What we require

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to weigh accurately on a calibrated scale and understand units of measure
  • Solid basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and percentages
  • Legible handwriting. Our records are legal documents. If it cannot be read, it did not happen.
  • Ability to read and follow a written procedure exactly as written
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for a full shift
  • Willingness to work in a clean, gowned environment with no jewelry and no cell phones on the floor

What we do not require

Prior pharmaceutical or cosmetic experience. We will train you. If you have worked in food production, a commercial kitchen, a bakery, a feed mill, a paint or chemical operation, or anywhere else you had to follow a formula exactly and weigh it out correctly, that experience translates directly.

How to apply

Apply through the link on this posting and upload your resume. The application includes a few short questions — we read every one, and a thoughtful answer carries more weight with us than a polished resume.

Candidates selected for interview will complete a short hands-on exercise at our Monroe facility covering weighing, basic calculations, and written documentation. It takes about thirty minutes and no preparation is needed.
