D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking a detail-oriented Asphalt Aggregate Tester to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that asphalt paving operations meet required specifications and quality standards.
Position Overview:Â The Asphalt Tester is responsible for sampling and testing aggregates used in Hot Mix Asphalt production.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively.
- Monitor and test asphalt aggregates.Â
- Ensure all testing and documentation comply with industry regulations and project requirements.

Job Requirements:
- Experience not required - on the job training provided.Â
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining independence on tasks.
- Must be reliable and dependable with strong time management skills.
- Must be willing to train and continue education with the intent to advance to Certified Asphalt Plant QC technician.
Additional Information & Requirements:
- Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts.
- Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must have a valid email address for communication.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
