RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the operation of the home in a manner consistent with Gateway Woods policies, state regulations, and according to the house rules and expectations established by the lead houseparents.
- Supervise the residents in all activities, including, but not limited to, school, work, recreation, church, and community.
- Transport residents to the above activities, as well as passes for appointments.
- Understand and administer the treatment plan for each resident under your supervision in conjunction with the treatment team.
- Provide for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the residents.
- Assist with all aspects of the intake process for residents who may be placed in their house.
- Facilitate continuity of care between the lead and alternate houseparents.
- Provide help with various tasks as directed by the lead houseparents.
- Stock the house with all supplies.
- Provide maintenance support for the campus as assigned by manager, which will include but not be limited to grocery shopping and maintenance of living quarters.
- Maintain complete and accurate records as required by Gateway Woods.
- Show hospitality to day and overnight visitors.
- Cooperate and communicate with, and support other staff members as they perform their roles and responsibilities.
- Attend staff meetings, team meetings, training, seminars, and other required events.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning both staff and resident issues.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in good standing with the support of his or her local elder.
- Be a high school graduate and at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess good communication skills, teamwork skills, self-motivation and flexibility.
- Be sensitive to the special emotional and physical needs of Gateway Woods residents.
- Have a dedication and love for young people.
