 IMA North America is hiring!  We are looking for a full time CNC Operator/ Machinist.   We only run one shift, which is a day shift M-F.

We offer excellent benefits, a casual work environment and half day Fridays!

Job Summary:

The CNC Programmer/ Machinist is resposnible for HAAS machine set up, programming and operation.  Also operates general machine shop equitpment such as Bridgeport, millers, lathes, grinders and drill presses.  Produces parts to required tolerances to meet customer specifications.   Requires attention to detail to ensure quality in the parts produced.

 

Job Duties:

  • Create and maintain production schedules to achieve on-time delivery.
  • Programs CNC equipment to create customer specific parts.
  • Operates equipment for fabrication of customer specific parts.
  • Clearly understands job specifications and tolerances.  Communicates with management and follows procedures to ensure quality fabrication to meet customer needs.
  • Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.  Makes safety a priority at all times.
  • Maintain reports on work order status including quantities produced.
  • Works on different equipment to carry out multiple phases of the production process.
  • Cross train on machining and part assemblies within the Change Parts department.
  • Checks work for accuracy.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blue prints.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail for safety and precision.

 

Education/ Experience:

  • Highschool diploma or GED preferred.
  • 5+ year’s experience manufacturing parts.
  • 1+ year’s experience supervising staff in a similar environment.
  • Haas experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Eyesight and manual dexterity to operate a variety of machine and fabrication tools.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to hear and speak clearly in person and over the phone.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
