Description
RD&S is expanding our commercial and industrial CO2 refrigeration division, and we are seeking a highly experienced, field-proven Senior CO2 Refrigeration Service Technician to help build one of the strongest CO2 service teams in the region. We are looking for a highly specialized CO2 technician who can support customers professionally in the field, lead service work and field operations, and travel throughout the region as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex CO2 refrigeration system issuesÂ
- Troubleshoot:Â
- Transcritical CO2 systemsÂ
- Parallel rack systemsÂ
- Gas coolersÂ
- Electronic expansion valvesÂ
- Refrigeration controlsÂ
- Mechanical and electrical system issuesÂ
- Perform planned maintenance, emergency service, and customer support activitiesÂ
- Generate accurate service documentation and reportingÂ
- Serve as a senior technical representative to customersÂ
- Maintain strong communication throughout service and project executionÂ
- Provide technical recommendations and long-term service solutionsÂ
- Support and mentor junior technicians when neededÂ
- Ensure projects and service work are completed safely, professionally, and efficiently Â
- Support CO2 construction, startup, and commissioning activities as requiredÂ
- Assist project teams with system startup, controls verification, and operational testingÂ
- Coordinate with project managers, controls teams, and contractors during startup activitiesÂ
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with commercial and/or industrial CO2 refrigeration systemsÂ
- Proven experience with:Â
- CO2 transcritical systemsÂ
- Advanced troubleshootingÂ
- Refrigeration controls integrationÂ
- Parallel rack systemsÂ
- Mechanical and electrical diagnosticsÂ
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionÂ
- Strong customer communication and professionalism in field environments
- Strong written communication skills and experience preparing detailed field service and startup reportsÂ
- Willingness to travel extensively based on customer and project demandsÂ
- Commitment to safety, technical excellence, and high-quality workmanshipÂ
- Startup and commissioning experience is strongly valued
- EPA Certification requiredÂ
- Valid Driver’s License requiredÂ
- OSHA certification preferredÂ
