We are currently hiring a part time Inn-Keeper at Dogfish Inn. Must have morning, afternoon, and evening availability on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.

An off-centered craft beer loving guest services ninja who will assist with all day-to-day Inn operations, helping to create the ultimate Dogfish experience in Costal Delaware. Guest service ninja will spend some time straddling the guest service world and supporting the housekeeping function. 

What You’ll Brew:

  • Checks in/out guests, answers phones, and secures reservations 
  • Working knowledge of all Inn operational policies and procedures 
  • Executes front desk operations 
  • Supports housekeeping initiatives 
  • Executes opening and closings SOPs
  • Understands and utilizes Frontdesk Anywhere reservations platform 
  • Performs all guest experience-enhancing operations 
  • Acts as concierge for all guests possessing deep working knowledge of DFH history, beers, company lore and craft beer knowledge 
  • Supports Housekeeping when possible: stripping linens, stocking minibar, glassware, paper products, makes beds, and executes final inspections when necessary 
  • Sells merchandise in the cottage area using POS system 
  • Rents bikes for current guests, minor bike maintenance (air in tires, oil chains, adjust seats)
  • Oversees coffee service: makes fresh coffee, weighs, grinds and sells 1lb bags 
  • Manages fire area: starts, maintains, and extinguishes fires in indoor fireplace and outdoor cauldron 
  • Assists with minor grounds issues like changing light bulbs, watering plants, HVAC troubleshooting, etc 
  • Spot cleans rooms if housekeeper has gone home for the evening 
  • Minor support of housekeeping on day to day basis and Laundry support  

What Ingredients You’ll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience 
  • Accurately handle cash and post charges 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Demonstrate good computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, the public and other coworkers
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include morning shift especially, weekends and holidays with potential overnight on-call

Level: 10

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $18 per hour.
