Optometric Technician

Location: Lewis Center, OH
Type: Full-Time (Part-Time opportunity available)

Our single location, privately owned optometry practice is looking for an Optometric Technician who brings warmth, dependability, and attention to detail to everything they do.

We're not a big chain - we're a close-knit team that truly cares about our patients and each other. Our philosophy is simple: provide the best patient care. We go the extra mile to find a way to say yes to our patients, and we're looking for someone who shares that same mindset.

Essential Functions
  • Provide excellent patient care during every patient encounter
  • Pre-test patients before exams
  • Collect patient history and document findings accurately in the EHR
  • Assist doctors during exams and procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Educate patients on tests, procedures, contact lenses, and treatment plans
  • Assist with contact lens training and follow-ups
  • Support front desk or optical staff as needed
  • Display a professional attitude with staff and patients
  • Practice urgency at all times with the patient schedule as well as the Doctor's
Qualifications
  • Prior optometric technician experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
