JOB SUMMARY

The IT Systems Analyst implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions. This position manages the IT Technician position, if applicable. Works with various application projects based on the direction of Director of IT.

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 per year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines application problem by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes.
  • Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions.
  • Validates results by testing programs.
  • Ensures operation by training client personnel, providing support.
  • Provides reference by writing documentation.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Take ownership of minor tasks, problems, or operational efforts. Knowledge of internal business processes as they relate to the applications and make recommendations as needed. Act in a supporting role on larger project and maintenance efforts.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position’s scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Provide support for 24x7 business operations including on-call. Follow incident, problem, and change & release management processes.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of software and web applications as well as system hardware.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory required.
  • 2+ years of work experience in information technology or related field.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, talk or hear and reach with hands and arms, use fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The Team Member is regularly required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • The Team Member is required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while being able to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • The Team Member may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The Team Member must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • The Team Member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The Team Member may participate in 24x7 on-call status and light travel on company business.
  • The Team Member may be exposed to smoke when on the floor of the gaming room.
