Stair Installer Carpenter

Skillforce is hiring Stair Installer Carpenters for ongoing project work in Henrico, Virginia. As a Stair Installer Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing finished stair treads and risers in a multi story building. Stair Installer Carpenter Pay:

• $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, set within that range based on your experience level.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Stair Installer Carpenter Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift, with overtime available as the schedule requires.
• Full time and fully on site in Henrico, with no travel between job sites.
• Ongoing project work with a consistent weekly schedule.

Stair Installer Carpenter Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install finished stair treads and risers on rough framed stringers.
• Scribe and fit treads and risers to walls and skirt boards so the finished surfaces sit tight and level.
• Check each stringer for level, rise, and run before install, and shim where the framing is out of tolerance.
• Fasten, glue, and set finished stair components so the completed run is solid and free of squeaks.
• Work stack by stack alongside the other finish trades.
• Keep each stair run clean and protected after install.

Stair Installer Carpenter Qualifications:

• You have two or more years of finish or trim carpentry experience on residential or multifamily projects.
• You have installed stair treads and risers, or closely related finish work such as handrail, skirt board, or interior trim.
• You can read a tape accurately, work from framing dimensions, and cut consistently to tight tolerances.
• You bring your own standard hand tools and your own personal protective equipment.
• You have reliable transportation to a job site in Henrico, Virginia.
• You are authorized to work in the United States.
