ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  •     MAINTAINS BUILDING INTERIOR by dusting, scouring and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windowsills, counters, walls, ceilings, pictures, and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing; cleaning and vacuuming window treatments, furniture, and carpeting; resupplying restrooms; and washing windows and screens. Some small repairs may be required.
  •     MAINTAINS BUILDING EXTERIOR by picking up papers, and trash; cleaning up break areas. emptying outside trash receptacles; and washing windows. This includes snow removal, all sidewalks, steps, and all exits.
  •      REMOVES TRASH by emptying trash containers; transporting waste to office dumpster, recycling materials and cleaning receptacles as necessary.
  •       KEEPS HOUSEKEEPING EQUIPMENT AND CUSTODIAL CLOSETS NEAT AND ORDERLY by following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines; storing supplies in their proper place; and keeping the closets free of debris and dirt.
  •      MAINTAINS CUSTODIAL SUPPLIES INVENTORY by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating cleaning supplies replacement; placing orders with maintenance supervisor.
  •       MAINTAINS SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
  •       MAINTAINING RETENTION POND by keeping pipes clear of debris and removing sediment; remove debris around and in ponds.
  •       CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT by accomplishing related results as needed.
  •      MAINTAINS COMPLIANCE TO ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY STANDARD by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.


  • Must wear appropriate PPE.


  • Must know how to operate and care for household and


  • Industrial grade cleaning equipment.


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.


  • Must have a positive attitude.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

  • Normal office environment or may be exposed to noise if working in the production area.


  • Production area with exposure to noise and heat.


  • Steel toed shoes are required at all times.


  • Must wear required PPE while on the production floor.


  • Must adjust PPE to be meet requirements, as some specific areas may require additional specific items to be worn for PPE, such as bump caps, hard hats, shin guards, gloves, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Carrying, pushing, or pulling parts to area.


  • Lifting and bending frequently.


  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.


  • Majority of the time standing and moving about the department.
