8:00 am-4:00pm Monday - Friday. Â Occasional weekends.
This position is for an emergency medical technician training course that will last approximately 12-16 weeks. Â Upon successful completion of the training program the candidate will transition into an open full time role within WellSpan EMS.
General Summary
The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) Trainee position is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals interested in beginning a career in emergency medical services. This unique role requires no prior EMS experience or certification and serves as a pathway to becoming a certified EMT-B.Trainees selected for the position will be enrolled in a state-approved EMT-Basic course as a condition of employment, with all associated training costs covered. During the program, trainees will receive classroom instruction, hands-on clinical training, and field experience under the supervision of licensed EMS professionals.Upon successful completion of the course and certification exam, trainees will transition into fully operational EMT-Basic roles within the organization. This position is ideal for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, commitment to public service, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
