We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead our human resources department. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the organization's mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Manage the labour cost, employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a positive experience for new and departing employees.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Lead and coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC requirements.
  • Develop and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee employee relations activities, including employee engagement surveys, recognition programs, and communication strategies.
  • Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect in the workplace.
  • Stay informed about HR trends, best practices, and legal developments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

To qualify for this role you must meet the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR management roles, with at least 5 of experience in a leadership position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, labor cost management and compliance

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
