Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to provide shipping and transfer support to the Production Team.    


This role is also intended to ensure our product is staged Production use, audited, handled, stored, and shipped and readily tracked efficiently while meeting our high quality standards and maintaining targeted customer service levels.
 

What are we looking for?

  • Highschool graduate and relevant logistics/transportation experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems. 
  • Basic knowledge of Inbound Ingredient Management practices.
  • Forklift certified.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead safety & quality in receiving and warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to all Mars Inc/Royal Canin Safety & QFS requirements
  • Prepare Trailer for Loading
  • Visually inspect incoming commodities and take appropriate action on issues such as infestation, pests, mold, or any other quality issue.
  • Unload Production Supplies (Raw material, Packaging, pallets) from Trailers
  • Escalate and Report all issues to Shipping Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Shift Manager and or Flow Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control (cycle counts).
  • Verify all required documentation including quality, production, and sanitation records.
  • Ensure all Flow housekeeping tasks are performed and the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is executed.  Perform a changeover and walkthrough (MSE CPs) with the oncoming and off-going team to discuss shipping area status and to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Drive for 5S Step-Change in shipping/warehouse
  • Work with procurement coordinators in managing Inbound load reception from suppliers and from external warehouse
  • Assist In Inventory management for packaging and raw materials based on production schedule
  • Oversee and Maintain Forklift Charging/equalization schedule/Rack inspection
  • Make sure that all Forklift Pre-Checks are Done and Completed
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks the Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator directs
  • Assist in other production areas, as requested.
