SUMMARY
Test and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs specified test on work in process and finished product. Testing includes visual inspection and physical testing of printed material. Product is tested for a variety of qualities.

• Interprets customer drawings and confers with management or technical staff to ascertain quality and reliability standards.

• Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.

• Maintains files of customer samples and color standards.

• Evaluates and issues approvals or supplier certificates of analysis for raw stock.

• Prepares certificate of analysis on finished product for our customers.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
