Job Summary 

Machine Operators work on machines to produce quality products safely and efficiently. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Learns the operation of the equipment.
  • Maintains a correct record-keeping system to ensure production efficiency meets company standards
  • Know the functions and processes for efficient operations.
  • Performs start-up procedure for equipment
  • Completes all duties and responsibilities following company safety and environmental policies. 
  • Work with technicians to make small adjustments and understand where things might go wrong
  • Learn the sounds and mechanics of the machine you are operating

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with machine technicians to determine needs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
  • Keep lots separated and correctly labeled; do not mix lots
  • Follow safety procedures regarding hoists and other potentially hazardous objects
  • Keep an eye on the wastewater and other sources of waste streams to let water treatment know what to clean

Qualifications:

Experience – On-the-job training, some mechanical knowledge preferred

Education – High School diploma or GED 

Supervision received – Direct oversight from the Supervisor

Mental and physical demands – attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and vision, good math skills, ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
