Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

 

Responsibilities

The Denials Management Account Assistant is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties to support the Denials Management Department. The DM Account Assistant will receive completed appeals received from DM Analysts and Specialist, prepare appeal packets by printing required medical records and other materials as instructed, mail completed packets to correct addresses. In addition the assistant will complete timely phone and online follow up contact with payers to verify receipt of appeal and noting account with mailing and follow up information in accordance with department protocols. Other Clerical functions as needed.

Qualifications

1.     Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines

2.     Previous office experience required

3.     Effective written and verbal communication skills

4.     Basic computer, Xerox, fax, scanning knowledge required

5.     High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires)
