Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to help oversee daily operations at our Thain location. This role serves as a key support to the store manager and acts as a secondary point of contact for customers, team members, and vendors. Responsibilities include assisting with sales growth, maintaining profitability, and ensuring the facility remains clean and well-maintained. In the manager’s absence, this position takes charge of store operations, including merchandising, staff supervision, and general maintenance.

What You’ll Do

Monitor and measure customer satisfaction, using feedback to improve service and drive product sales.
Oversee employee relations, including staffing levels, training, job assignments, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain a clean, organized station and ensure adequate stock of supplies at all times.
Promote and enforce safe work habits, ensuring compliance with all safety and security procedures.
Manage merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability through effective product selection, placement, stocking, and pricing.
Complete daily bookkeeping tasks, including vendor invoices and other required documentation, accurately and promptly.
Control shrinkage and monitor vendor activity and invoices to maintain operational integrity.

Skills & Experience

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and reaching; must be able to stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working with petroleum products.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate an adding machine.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, neat, and clean appearance.
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Exceptional customer service abilities.
Self-motivated with experience in personnel management.
Knowledge of marketing and merchandising principles.
