Production Supervisor

Penn State Construction | Lewistown, PA | Full-Time


Penn State Construction is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within our fabrication facility producing ACM panels and other exterior building products. This role is responsible for planning work, leading people, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring production is aligned with project requirements and field installation needs.


The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring field success by delivering consistent, high-quality, on-time output and setting the daily standard for how work gets done across the production team.



Responsibilities

Plan & Prepare Daily Production for Successful Execution

  • Set clear daily and weekly expectations for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Assign work, coordinate staffing, and balance workloads across fabrication stations
  • Plan materials, tools, and equipment to ensure crews are prepared to execute
  • Coordinate production priorities with project teams and field installation schedules
  • Look ahead to prevent delays, rework, and downtime



Lead Production Through Communication & Team Leadership

  • Lead daily huddles and maintain consistent communication rhythms
  • Keep team members informed of priorities, drawings, and schedule changes
  • Work closely with in-house detailing teams to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Provide coaching, recognition, and corrective action when needed
  • Promote accountability while maintaining a positive, professional work environment



Maintain Safety, Quality & Production Standards

  • Ensure ACM panels and exterior products meet PSC quality standards and project specifications
  • Verify work aligns with approved drawings and installation requirements
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce safety policies
  • Identify and resolve production or quality issues before they impact the field
  • Coordinate with management when issues affect schedule, quality, or output



Track Performance & Support Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor production output and performance against expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and fabrication quality
  • Support training and development of production team members
  • Share feedback that improves coordination between fabrication, detailing, and field installation



Qualifications

  • Construction, manufacturing, or fabrication leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with ACM panels, exterior cladding, or architectural building products a plus
  • Ability to lead, manage, and hold a production team accountable
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Teams, ERP systems)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to take ownership, plan ahead, and finish what you start



Working Conditions

  • Facility-based role in a temperature-controlled production environment
