Assistant Program Manager, Operational Integration

KBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. As a trusted partner with a proven history in mission technology, KBR collaborates closely with clients to develop innovative and effective solutions. With a strong ethical framework, KBR prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.  


The Assistant Program Manager, Operational Integration (Class Desk) partners with engineering teams (including Chief Engineers), operational stakeholders, and program leadership as the primary operational and fleet‑focused liaison. Serving as the Program Manager’s lead coordinator for operational integration, this role ensures operational requirements, constraints, and impacts are fully integrated into technical planning, execution, and decision‑making for CuXS systems—particularly where system performance directly affects safety and mission readiness.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary coordination lead across engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and fleet representatives.
  • Act as the Program Manager’s lead integrator for operational considerations across engineering and program execution efforts.
  • Integrate operational requirements and fleet priorities into technical discussions and planning efforts.
  • Advise program leadership on operational impacts of system issues, failures, and proposed changes.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to address fleet‑driven requirements and concerns.
  • Support assessments of system performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive alignment and communication across technical and operational communities to support informed decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • Clearance & Citizenship: Active/Current Secret, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret. U.S. citizenship required.
  • Education & Experience: Master’s in Engineering or STEM Discipline & 8+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s in Engineering or STEM Discipline & 12+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with operational or fleet organizations.
  • Background supporting safety‑critical or mission‑essential systems.
  • Experience bridging technical and operational communities.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $132,000-$198,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
