Job Title: Assembly Operator
Department: Production
Reports to: Assembly Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt-Full time
Summary
The assembler uses a variety of tools to manufacture the products. An assembler is detailed oriented and is responsible for carrying out tasks to ensure all products made meet the standards of the BSP. Â
Responsibilities
- Assembling and testing all manufactured products prior to being shipped to the customer
- Participating in continual training and development
- Completing daily reports to indicate goods that have been shipped and to identify late orders
- Reading and following basic diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and instructions to accurately assemble components into finished products
- Assisting other Assemblers when required
- Performing work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace or assembly station
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
 Qualifications
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail to follow directions thoroughly
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to self-motivatedÂ
- On the job training
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing up to 8 hours or more.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects of varying sizes and weights
- Spend significant time on their feet, walking the production floor
- Bend, stoop, or kneel to access machinery, inspect products, or perform tasks at various heights.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) and identifying and mitigating safety hazards.
