NIGHT SHIFT - Construction Administrator

Continuing our two decade mission of supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs with construction management expertise, LRS Federal is hiring a Construction Administrator to support ongoing construction projects taking place at the VA campus in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time on-site position for the NIGHT SHIFT.

HOURS: Hours will be variable based on construction but will generally be as follows - Monday: 4pm-midnight; Tuesday-Thursday: 4p-2am; Friday: 2pm-10pm.

The Construction Administrator will support the construction projects as a government contractor.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and assist the construction contractor in accessing various parts of the VA facility. 
• Prepare and maintain daily diaries for project activities noting events affecting construction.  
• Coordinate work to be completed with hospital staff to minimize impact to operations.
• Conduct or attend weekly or weekly project meetings to review and monitor projects, project schedules, and review of construction contractor payment requirements.
• Keep thorough records of occurrences, contracts, and others construction related matters of the project to assist the VA in conflict resolution. 
• Monitor the services of an independent testing agency/laboratory to perform project specific quality control testing an inspection services. The services may include, but are not limited to, testing/inspection of soils, concrete, precast concrete connections, applied fireproofing and roofing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
  
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or construction administration
• Ability to pass a government background check
• U.S. Citizen

Work Location

Work will be located on the Franklin R. Sousley VA Campus and the Troy Bowling VA Campus within Lexington, KY.
