Job Description Summary

The Center for the Creative Economy seeks a reliable, detail-oriented student worker to support project coordination, event planning, marketing production, and general office operations. This position is well suited for a student with strong writing skills and excellent organizational abilities.

The student worker will assist with project documentation, help coordinate campus events, support the production of marketing materials, and perform general administrative duties as needed.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the job:

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Project Support & Coordination

  • Assist in creating project proposals, project plans, timelines, and related documentation

  • Help track project tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
    Maintain organized project files and records

     

Event Planning Support

  • Assisting with the planning, coordination, set up, and breakdown of department events.
    Help manage event logistics, communications, materials, and follow-up

  • Provide on-site event support as needed
     

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Organize and help manage the production process for marketing and promotional materials

  • Assist with writing, editing, and proofreading content for emails, web pages, flyers, social media, and reports

  • Coordinate production timelines and materials with campus partners or vendors

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail across materials
     

Office & Administrative Support

  • Perform general office administrative duties as needed (data entry, scheduling, filing, document preparation)

  • Maintain organized digital and physical files

  • Assist with research and basic reporting
     

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must be enrolled as a student of Ringling College of Art and Design

  • Must be dependable, able work as scheduled, and work with general supervision.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with staff, faculty and other students in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to self-direct work and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control before submission

  • Ability to self-direct and manage multiple tasks, follow through on assignments, and proactively communicate progress or needs

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace for file, project, and document management

  • Maintains consistent file organization, naming conventions, and asset management practices

Education and Experience

Education and Experience:

  • Must be enrolled at Ringling College of Art and Design

  • Experience with project management or organizational tools
