Position Overview:

We are seeking a Sewing Machine Operator / Upholstery Technician to join our manufacturing and production team. In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines, cut patterns, and produce high-quality custom upholstery products in a fast-paced environment.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in sewing, upholstery, or manufacturing, as well as detail-oriented individuals looking to grow their skills.

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines (threading, bobbin changes, needle replacement) 
• Cut patterns and materials accurately for upholstery production 
• Execute custom upholstery jobs based on work orders and specifications 
• Maintain consistent quality control and craftsmanship 
• Work in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment 
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors 
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe 
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines 
• Maintain productivity and meet daily production goals 
• Perform other general production and sewing duties as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

• Experience with sewing, upholstery, or industrial sewing machines preferred 
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship 
• Ability to work in a production or manufacturing environment 
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
