Assistant Estimator

Job Summary:

PLEASE NOTE:  This is an entry level position

This is an in office position located in Lexington SC  

This position will involve assisting Estimators in all aspects of projects from the Bid invite, estimating costs to project handoff. This is an entry level position with the goal being to become an Estimator. 

We are looking for an individual with experience in the Commercial Construction Industry, (Electrical experience a plus) that is looking for the opportunity to become an Estimator.

 Job Duties will be to assist Senior Estimators in the following: 

·         Develop and maintain relationships with trade contractors and suppliers

·         Bid solicitation with trade contractors and suppliers

·         Estimating for project bids

·         Following up on bid projects

·         Purchase quoted materials for projects

·         Build submittal packages

·         Complete all front-end contract forms

·         Create schedule of values

·         Meet with Operation team to hand off projects

·         Pricing of change orders

·         Building relationships with Project Managers, Superintendents and other staff.

·         Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

·         Organization and time management skills

·         Contribute to a team environment and support Senior Estimators

·         Basic Computer skills

·         Use of basic office equipment

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or GED required; post- secondary education preferred but not required

·         Prior experience in Construction Sales, Estimating or in the field as a seasoned electrician in Commercial Construction

·         Valid SC driver’s license with a clean driving record in order to operate company vehicles
