Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. In this role, you will operate band saws and related fabrication equipment to cut, prepare, and process raw materials into precise components used in welding and production operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and interest in machine operation and metal fabrication. Experience with band saws, fabrication equipment, metal cutting, or manufacturing machinery is preferred, buton-the-job training is available.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate band saws and fabrication equipment to cut, saw, drill, and prepare materials according to production requirements 
• Ensure accuracy of material sizing, dimensions, and tolerances throughout the cutting process 
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, diagrams, bills of materials, and work instructions 
• Inspect and measure finished parts to verify quality and specification compliance 
• Perform routine machine maintenance including blade changes, lubrication, cleaning, and consumable replacement
• Monitor raw material inventory, components, and consumable supplies 
• Maintain accurate production documentation and follow standardized work procedures 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant manufacturing workspace 
• Support additional fabrication, welding, and production needs as required 
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machine operation, or metalworking preferred 
• Experience operating band saws, drills, sanders, or fabrication tools is a plus 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
