Summary:Ā
The Cage Lead provides direct supervision of all cage/cash operations employees and ensures the security of company funds. Sets up credit and check cashing accounts for patrons, issues cashier banks, investigates variances, and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and KRM Wagering, LLC. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work. Addressing complaints and resolving guest and employee issues. Ordering supplies, maintaining logs, and scheduling employees as needed. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Meet deadlines and maintain proper documentation.
Essential Duties:
Ā· Candidate will assist in ensuring accuracy of jackpot payouts and related safekeeping deposits and withdrawals.
Ā· Candidate will monitor cash levels in all Cage locations.Ā
Ā· Candidate will supervise large payouts by cashiers.Ā
Ā· Candidate will make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures in order to improve efficiencies.
Ā· Candidate will document attendance and variances and work in conjunction with the other Cage Supervisors or Cage/Count Manager to review employee files and prepare corrective action documentation.
Ā· Candidate will complete daily cash accountability logs, give performance feedback and employee disciplinary actions.
Ā· Candidate will prepare cashier transfers, ensure that accurate paperwork is completed for all functions of the position including end of shift balancing of cashier windows and cage.
Ā· Ensures compliance with Title 31.
Ā· Candidate will ensure preventative maintenance is performed on equipment in the Cage.Ā
Ā· Candidate will maintain confidentiality of all wagering operations data.
Ā· Candidate is responsible for informing Cage/Count Manager of all incidents or disputes related to patrons, employees and inter-departmental issues.Ā

QUALIFICATIONSĀ

Candidate will work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. All persons must be (18) years of age.Ā
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ā· High School Diploma or equivalentĀ
Ā· Previous cash handling experience is requiredĀ
Ā· Supervisory experience is a plusĀ
Ā· Minimum of 1 year bank teller/cage experience
Ā· Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Ā· Strong mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
EQUIPMENT USED:
Ā· Must have advance computer capabilities.
Ā· Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, including Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
Ā· Coin and Currency counters for both soft and hard counts.
Ā· Other traditional office equipment such as fax machines, copiers as required
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to speak English required, Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
