Position Summary

The role of Dedicated Security Professional involves managing front desk operations, security associate operations, intrusion detection systems, access control, and assisting with basic security functions. Responsibilities include administrative support, greeting visitors, and maintaining office safety through access control monitoring and visitor log management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the facility’s security program to safeguard personnel, assets, operations, and infrastructure.  
  • Serves as site Security Subject Matter Expert on evaluating, addressing and ensuring compliance with Company Security Directives, CTPAT compliance and Security Standards. 
  • Maintains the Site Security Plan ensuring compliance with Company protocols. 
  • Supports the site’s Emergency Response Plan, integrating procedures on how to react to security incidents; serves as a member of the Emergency Response Team. 
  • Ensure timely dissemination of security information (urgent and recurring communication) to locally assigned employees addressing security related matters, as appropriate. Enhances the site’s culture of security. 
  • Demonstrates ownership, tracks improvements and executes closure of site security corrective action program measures. 
  • Conducts site security investigations, as needed. Partners directly with the Regional Security Manager to ensure investigative sufficiency. 
  • Provides timely notifications on security incidents to site, country and regional Security personnel as outlined within the Security Manual and Crisis Management Plan 
  • Directly supports the site’s Workplace Violence Prevention and Active Shooter Response Programs, providing site-specific protocols and employee awareness training; serves on the site’s Threat Management Team. 
  • Manages, maintains accuracy and ensures operational functionality of site security systems (e.g., visitor management, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), badge system). 
  • Partners directly with Human Resources to execute potentially hostile terminations and support delivery of post-termination security support. 
  • Maintains continuing liaison with local law enforcement in support of safeguarding the facility. 
  • Manages the operation of the on-site security associates and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, Power-Point and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with basic office safety protocols; prior training preferred.
  • Experience in team leadership, including scheduling, training, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor in interactions with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and be on call as needed.
  • Working knowledge of CTPAT best practices as outlined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
  • Strong leadership, customer service and de-escalation skills
