DLZ Corporation is looking for a motivated hard-working Entry Level Civil Engineer - Transportation to join our team in Lexington, KY! 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with transportation engineering design, analysis, and construction assignment. 
• Support project teams with engineering calculations, design development, and technical documentation. 
• Perform work under the supervision of experienced engineers while gaining exposure to multiple aspects of transportation projects. 
• Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by technicians. 
• Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, economic and technical specifications, and construction cost estimates. 
• Review contractor shop drawing submittals. 
• Perform construction monitoring and assist with coordinating field activities. 
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of construction project activities and quantities. 
• Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experience considered)
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply 
• EIT/FE certifications preferred but not required
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred
• OpenRoads experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
• Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements
