Position Summary
Highgrove at Tates Creek Senior Living is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to support daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality meal preparation, and provide an exceptional dining experience for our residents. This role helps maintain a well-organized, efficient kitchen while upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, enjoys working in a team environment, and takes pride in preparing nutritious and appealing meals for seniors.

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • Day and evening shifts as needed

  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and meal preparation

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines

  • Ensure food is prepared and presented to high quality standards

  • Support menu planning and meal service for residents and special events

  • Supervise kitchen staff when the Executive Chef is not present

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food storage in the kitchen

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and managing kitchen supplies

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Cook, or similar culinary role preferred

  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality dining is a plus

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Passion for creating high-quality meals and providing excellent service
